The Southwest Female U15 A Cyclones advanced in the league playoffs with a Southwest Division finals win over the Lumsden Bethune Lynx.
The Cyclones won game one 4-0 in Bethune on March 6. The Lynx tied the series on March 8 with a 3-2 overtime win in Gull Lake.
In game game three in Lumsden, the Cyclones fell behind 2-0 before goals from Paige Hawkins and Blakely Wallis to force overtime. Kassie Gryde notched the series-clinching goal eight minutes into overtime.
The Cyclones will face the South Sask Renegades for the South Sask League title in a best-of-three series beginning Wednesday in Rouleau. Game two will be Saturday in Gull Lake at 5 p.m. Game three, if necessary, would be Sunday in Rouleau.
