The Southwest Impact will play their first Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League games this weekend.
The league’s inaugural game will be played on Saturday, Oct. 7 when the Impact host the Lumsden Lynx at 7:30 p.m. at the Gull Lake Recreation Complex.
They will host the Lynx again on Sunday at 2:45 p.m. at S3 Arenas in Swift Current.
The league also includes the Outlook Mainline Ice Hawks, the Regina Junior Rebels, the Saskatoon Prairie Blaze, and the Western Prairie Klippers.
The Impact will play 18 games this season. They are led by head coach Taylor Lester, general manager and assistant coach Wade Lacher, and assistant coach Laurie Haynes.
