SWAC cross-country championships held in Frontier

The SWAC cross-country championships were held in Frontier with almost 175 athletes running in 10 different divisions on Wednesday.

A total of 18 runners qualified for SHSAA Provincials, which will be held on Regina on Oct. 14.

Waldeck’s Kysa Getzinger won the Pee Wee Girls Division in 9:37.

Fairview School’s Chad Logan topped the Pee Wee Boys Division in 8:43.

Fairview’s Mya Dowdeswell added a title in Bantam Girls in 9:11.

Waldeck’s Jesse Olson came out on top of the Bantam Boys Division in 8:27.

The Swift Current Comp. Ardens’ Scotlyn Rogers took top spot in the Intermediate Girls Division in 17:45.

Maple Creek’s Wyatt Jahnke-Schafer won gold in the Intermediate Boys Division in 15:06.

Frontier’s Amy Anderson won the Junior Girls Division in 21:48.

The Swift Current Colts’ Colter Folk topped the Junior Boys Division in 15:37.

The Ardens’ Isabelle Gottselig won the Senior Girls Division in 19:05.

Vanguard’s Jake Klassen topped the Senior Boys Division in 26:45.
