The SCCHS Junior Ardens Red won gold at the 10-team Winston Knoll Junior Girls Volleyball tournament in Regina over the weekend.
The Ardens played four matches to place second in the round robin as they battled Regina LeBoldus (25-6, 25-10), Lumsden (14-25, 25-16), Moose Jaw Vanier (25-11, 25-15), and Regina Campbell (25-18, 19-25).
The Ardens defeated the Regina Martin Monarchs (25-3, 25-7) in the quarter-final and then the host Winston Knoll Wolverines (25-16, 25-12) in the semi-final.
The Ardens defeated Lumsden (25-21, 25-15) in the championship match for their second straight tournament title.
They head to Yorkton this weekend for the Senior Raiders tournament.
