Colts lose to visiting Yorkton Raiders

The Swift Current Comp. Colts football team stayed within striking distance of the Yorkton Raiders in a 30-14 loss on Saturday.

Yorkton improved to 3-0, while the Colts fell to 0-3 in the SHSAA 5A 12-Aside Rural League.

The Colts racked up 260 yards through the air as quarterback Elijah Siemens completed 16 passes. Riley Wingert led the Colts with six catches for 90 yards.

Owen Sletten and Ethan Priest both had touchdown receptions for the Colts.

The Raiders did their damage along the ground with 274 yards rushing, including 185 yards form Tyson Korol, who scored three touchdowns.

The Colts will visit Estevan on Friday and then conclude the regular season against Moose Jaw AE Peacock on Oct. 14.
