The Swift Current Comp. Colts senior boys volleyball team went looking for competition outside of Saskatchewan over the weekend and returned with a sixth straight tournament title.
The Colts won all six matches to claim gold at the Medicine Hat Invitational, defeating Medicine Hat High in three sets in the championship match. They dropped the opening set 23-25 before rebounding to win 25-23 and 15-12.
The Colts had finished 4-0 in their round robin pool with wins over Medicine Hat High, Medicine Hat Crescent Heights, Fox Valley, and Oyen. They defeated Oyen again in the semi-final.
The Colts will be in Weyburn next weekend for 5A SHSAA Regionals. They will host the Provincial Championship the following weekend.
