Isaac Poulter made 37 saves to lead the Swift Current Broncos to a critical 3-0 win over the host Calgary Hitmen on Sunday afternoon.
The Broncos won for only the 10th time on the road this season in front of 11,999 fans at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Poulter is now tied for second in the Western Hockey League with five shutouts during his final season.
The Broncos got goals from three different players as they scored in each period. Cole Nagy scored his 12th goal of the season in the first period. Carter Stebbings scored a power play goal in the middle stanza. Karson King added his eighth goal of the season in the third period.
The Broncos moved into seventh spot in the Eastern Conference with a 25-31-5-2 record after their fifth win in the past six games. The Hitmen fell to 22-31-6-2 and sat 10th, five points back of the Broncos.
The Broncos will visit the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Wednesday in another battle with one of their primary playoff competitors.
