U18 AA Wildcats earn two close wins on home ice

The Swift Current Full Line Ag Wildcats earned a pair of close wins on home ice in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AA Hockey League over the weekend.

Friday, Kasia Gatzke scored both goals as the Wildcats defeated the visiting Northwest Sharks 2-1. Morgan Coward, Mya Brown, and Morgan Bailey all added assists.

Jorja Imrie earned the win as the Wildcats outshot the Sharks 33-17.

Saturday, the Wildcats scored the opening two goals in a 2-1 win over the North Division leading Saskatoon Comet Legends. Brown and Jordyn Cooper scored in the second period for the Wildcats before Morgan Snell responded in the third period for Saskatoon. Bailey and Bryn Haubrich picked up assists for the Wildcats.

Mya Ruschkowski earned the win as the Wildcats were outshot 23-16.

The Wildcats moved into second spot in the South Division with a 9-5-1 record.

The U18 AA Wildcats will return to action on Jan. 7 against the host Notre Dame Hounds.
