Swift Current will be hosting a pair of drive-thru Moderna vaccination clinics this weekend.
On Saturday, June 19, there will be a drive-thru clinic running from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the clinic offering a first dose fast track lane.
The second clinic runs on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Both clinics will be operated at the drive-thru site at 801 Cheadle Street West.
First doses are available to all adults, while the second dose vaccination eligibility is now open to residents aged 45 and over (or anyone who received their first dose on or before May 1).
The two Swift Current clinics are part of a weekend push to help Saskatchewan achieve the 70 per cent immunization milestone among residents aged 18 and over. If enough residents aged 18 and over receive their first dose by Sunday, the province will move to Step Three of the re-opening strategy. Additionally, if 70 per cent of all Saskatchewan residents aged 12 and over have their first dose by Sunday, the province will not only move to Step Three on July 11 but all public health restriction will be lifted.
