Former Swift Current Broncos forward Jake DeBrusk resigned with the Boston Bruins for another two seasons. The 24-year-old forward will have an annual cap hit of $3.675 million.
The 6-foot, 188-pound left wing registered 19 goals and 16 assists in 65 games with the Bruins last season. He has 120 points in 203 regular season games in the National Hockey League since being drafted by the Bruins 14th overall in 2015. He also has 23 points in 49 playoff games.
DeBrusk played parts of three seasons with the Broncos from 2013-15, including a 42-goal campaign in 2014-15. He was traded to the Red Deer Rebels in December of 2015 for a package that included Lane Pederson and a first round draft pick. He was originally drafted by the Broncos in the seventh round of WHL Bantam Draft.
He scored a career-high 27 goals for the Bruins in 2018-19.
