The Swift Current Broncos claimed overage forward Michael Farren off of waivers the club announced Monday.
The 2000-born forward is a veteran of four Western Hockey League seasons, most recently with the Kelowna Rockets. The 5’10’’, 162-pound Surrey, BC product registered six goals and 14 assists in 41 games with the Rockets last season.
Farren began his WHL career with the Saskatoon Blades where he played under Broncos Head Coach Dean Brockman. He has 28 goals and 56 assists in 224 WHL games.
Farren will skate for the Delta Ice Hawks in the Pacific Junior Hockey League until the Broncos training camp opens in late December in preparation for the WHL’s opening day on January 8.
