Four of the Swift Current Broncos top prospects received positive news this week when they were named to their respective provincial team rosters heading into tryout camps this summer.
Both of the Broncos first round picks from the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft were named to Team BC.
Forward Mathew Ward (Richmond) and defenseman Tyson Jugnauth (Kelowna) were both named to the U16 Male Team BC Provincial Camp, which will be held in Shawnigan Lake. Ward and Jugnauth will be amongst the province’s top 60 players in camp from July 29 – August 3.
Ward was drafted 14th overall, while Jugnauth was selected 21st in last week’s draft.

A pair of Broncos prospects also remain in contention to make Team Alberta after being named to their top-80 roster.
Forwards Ty Hurley (Sherwood Park) and Josh Davies (Airdrie) will skate in the Team Alberta U16 Male Summer Camp from July 1-7 in Red Deer as they look to earn a spot at the 2019 WHL Cup in Calgary.

The Broncos selected Davies in the third round and Hurley in the fourth round of the WHL Bantam Draft.
Swift Current Broncos assistant coach Brandin Cote is the head coach for Team Alberta.
