The Swift Current U11 AAA 57’s placed second at the six-team Blazin’ Bases tournament in Estevan over the weekend.
The 57’s finished the round robin with a 2-1 record. They defeated the Moose Jaw Canucks 12-11 and the Weyburn Beavers 19-11 before losing 9-4 to the Yorkton Cardinals.
The 57’s rematched with Yorkton in the championship game and lost 14-13 to bring home silver.
The U11 57’s will be back in Moose Jaw on May 14 for their next game. They will host their home opener on May 25 at 1 p.m. at Sharon Hogg Diamond.
