The Swift Current 17U Girls Junior SunDogs won six of seven matches to place fifth in Sask Cup #1 in Warman.
They opened the tournament with four straight wins as they defeated the Humboldt Hornets (25-21, 25-10), JCVC Black (25-18, 21-25, 15-9), Yorkton Chaos (25-11, 25-13), and QCVC Royal Black (25-10, 25-19).
Their only loss came on the second day when they fell in straight sets to QCVC Royal Purple (19-25, 20-25).
The 17U Junior SunDogs, coached by Shawn Hiebert and Michael Ruus, recovered for wins over Moose Jaw Thundercreek (25-21, 25-23) and the Regina Cougars (23-25, 25-20, 16-14).
