The Swift Current Broncos concluded a five-game BC Division road trip without a win after a 3-2 loss to the Kelowna Rockets on Tuesday.
The two teams traded goals throughout the contest, beginning with a Lane Zablocki goal 4:31 into regulation. Alec Zawatsky scored for the Broncos to tie the game 1-1 after one period.
Kyle Topping gave the Rockets another lead in the second period, but Joona Kiviniemi scored only 26 seconds later to tie the game.
Jack Cowell scored the game winner midway through the second period to close the scoring.
Joel Hofer took the loss with 30 saves on 33 shots. James Porter earned the win with 23 saves.
Kelowna improved to 5-10-0-0, while the Broncos fell to 1-12-0-0.
The Broncos will be back at home on Saturday to face the Everett Silvertips in a rematch of the WHL championship series.
