The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats will get the 2018-19 season underway when they host their annual preseason tournament this weekend.
The Wildcats will open their season on Friday at 7:30 p.m. against the Pembina Valley Hawks.
The Wildcats will also take on the Pilot Mound Buffaloes on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
The Wildcats will take on U16 Team Saskatchewan on Sunday at 2:45 p.m. to close out the weekend. All games take place at Fairview West Arena.
The Wildcats will open the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League regular season on September 29-30 when they host the defending champion Saskatoon Stars.
The weekend will also feature an exhibition game between the University of Saskatchewan Huskies and University of Lethbridge Pronghorns on Saturday at 4:15 p.m.
The Huskies feature former Wildcats Jasey Book, Brooklyn Haubrich, Chloe Smith, and Kayla Kirwan. The Pronghorns feature former Wildcat Tenelle Lind.
