The turnover on the Swift Current Broncos coaching staff continued on Monday when the Vancouver Giants announced that they had hired Jamie Heward as Associate Coach.
Heward had served the past six seasons as Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development with the Broncos.
He follows the departure of Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Manny Viveiros to the Edmonton Oilers and Associate Coach Ryan Smith to the Medicine Hat Tigers. Jamie Porter also stepped down as Director of Hockey Operations, while Dianne Sletten has moved on from the Director of Business Operations position.
The current staff consists of Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dean Brockman and Head Athletic Trainer and Equipment Manager Jamie LeBlanc. They are joined by recently hired Gary Aubin as Director of Player Personnel and Nathan MacDonald as the new Director of Business Operations.
