The Regina Pats scored five goals over the opening 31:35 to defeat the visiting Swift Current Broncos 6-3 Wednesday to tie the best-of-seven East Division semi-final for a second time.
Jake Leschyshyn scored twice for the Pats during their best offensive game of the series to tie it up two games apiece. Libor Hajek, Jared Legein, Cameron Hebig, and Emil Oksanen, during a three-point outing, also scored for the Pats as the two teams continue to trade victories.
The Pats led by 2-0 and 5-2 period margins before the Broncos made a third-period push with 16 shots on goal.
Glenn Gawdin, Tyler Steenbergen, and Matteo Gennaro responded for the Broncos as they finished three-for-six on the power play. The Pats finished two-for-four on the man-advantage on goals from Oksanen and Hajek.
Stuart Skinner was pulled after allowing five goals on 20 shots. Joel Hofer stopped all seven shots he faced over 25:25 of relief work for the Broncos.
Ryan Kubic picked up his second win of the series with 24 saves on 27 shots.
The series returns to Swift Current for game five on Friday and then will be in Regina for game six on Saturday.
