The Swift Current U14 Sonic girls softball team swept a double header in Weyburn on Sunday.
The Sonic won the first game 10-6. Paris Appell and Kadence Pavely shared the pitching duties in the game one win. Brooklyn Zakulzny was the offensive leader for the Sonic in the first game.
In a rain-shortened second game, the Sonic scored a 12-8 win. Hillary Lacelle took the win on the mound for the Sonic. Appel hit a homerun for a Sonic team that had strong batting throughout the lineup.
The next action for the U14 Sonic is Sunday, July 2 when Weyburn makes the trip to Swift Current for a double header at the Swift Current Recreation Complex. Game times for the double header in Swift Current are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The Sonic will then attend the Saskatchewan Softball U14 Provincial C Championships in Biggar July14-16.
