The Swift Current Broncos played two preseason games over the weekend and picked up their first win.
The Broncos lost 7-2 to the visiting Saskatoon Blades on Friday. Luke Huska and Jace McFaul scored in the loss. Wyatt Riemer made 20 saves on 25 shots and Archer Cooke made 18 saves on 20 shots in relief.
The Broncos replied with a 5-4 win over the host Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday. Brendan Rudolph scored the Broncos first three goals to lead the way. Kayd Ruedig and Trae Wilke also scored. Cal Conway earned the win with 23 saves on 27 shots
The Broncos will conclude the preseason this weekend with two games, beginning Friday when they visit the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Broncos will also host the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Shaunavon.
