The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union U18 AAA Wildcats finished with a 1-1-1 record at their annual preseason tournament.
Friday, the Wildcats tied U16 Team Saskatchewan Green 3-3. Hayden Hilbig, Iralyn Calkins, and Laynee Rondeau all scored. Maddison Hagen made 23 saves.
The Wildcats won the next game 2-0 over U16 Team Saskatchewan White on goals from Rowyn Baptist and Stevie Christiaens. Kaleigha Irwin made 15 saves in the shutout.
The Wildcats lost their final game 4-2 on Sunday despite outshooting the Weyburn Goldwings 43-22. Charlize Hillmer and Paige Hawkins scored in the loss.
The Wildcats will open the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League regular season on Oct. 3-4 when they host the Prince Albert Northern Bears.
