Kiera Williamson hit the pay window in two events at the Rossburn Rodeo on August 29 on the Canadian Cowboys Association rodeo circuit.
The Mankota cowgirl was second in Ladies Barrel Racing in 15.04 seconds for $799. Erin Hagan (Virden) won the event in 15.02 seconds.
Williamson also finished second in Junior Girls Barrel Racing in 14.92 seconds for $310. Sadie Brown (Virden) won the event in 14.72 seconds.
Waldeck’s Scott McLeod and Shamrock’s Kevin Turner were second in Team Roping in 7.0 seconds for $1,598. Jace Schellenberg and Rudy Schellenberg (Gronlid) won the event in 6.7 seconds.
Lafleche’s Weston Packet was fourth in Tie Down Roping in 10.9 seconds for $378. Mankota’s Shawn Williamson was right behind him in fifth in 11.1 seconds for $243. Kobe Kmita (Weyburn) won the event in 9.2 seconds for $783.
Waldeck’s Tucker Danberg and Maple Creek’s Dayton Cronkhite tied for fourth in Junior Steer Riding with 66-point efforts for $47 each. Gunner Armstrong (Shellbrook) won the event with 70 points.
The CCA is back in Manitoba this weekend for the Double B Ag Festival in Beausejour.
