Swift Current’s Mason Fauser won bronze with Team Saskatchewan in Men’s Baseball at the Canada Summer Games.
Saskatchewan defeated Prince Edward Island 4-2 in the bronze medal game on Saturday morning in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Saskatchewan finished with four wins and three losses in the tournament. Fauser finished with two singles, one walk, two runs scored, and one run batted in in three games played.
Fauser earned the win over Quebec on Wednesday when he induced a double play in the top of the eighth inning before Saskatchewan scored twice for a walk-off win.
Aiden Kilshaw, who came up through the Swift Current Minor Baseball system, finished with five singles, four walks, four runs scored, and four RBIs in seven games. He was also five-for-five on stolen base attempts.
