Colts host home tournament

SCCHS Colts Basketball STEVEN MAH/SOUTHWEST BOOSTER

The Swift Current Comp. Senior Colts won once in three attempts during their four-team home tournament over the weekend. 

The Colts opened the Blue & Red Basketball Tournament with a 104-96 loss to the Regina Miller Marauders on Friday. Toby Klassen and Isiah Richardson-Lange each scored 23 points in the loss. Duncan Gevana added 21 points and Ryan Ugalino had 17 points. 

The Colts rebounded with an 81-76 win over Saskatoon’s Bishop James Mahoney. Gevana paced the Colts with 27 and Griffin Striker had 24 points. 

The Colts dropped their final game 88-73 to Lethbridge’s Chinook High School Coyotes. Gevana led the Colts with 23 points, while Klassen chipped in 20 points as the Colts finished the weekend with a 6-7 overall record. 

They will return to league action on January 14 when they visit Moose Jaw Cornerstone.
