The Swift Current Comp. Ardens won SHSAA 5A Volleyball Provincials in Weyburn on Saturday.
The Ardens defeated Balgonie Greenall 25-15 and 25-23 to win their second 5A title in school history.
The Ardens won all three of their round robin matches on Friday without dropping a set. They opened with a win over Prince Albert Carlton (25-16, 25-13) and followed up with a win over the host Weyburn Eagles (25-19, 25-10). They added a win over Saskatoon St. Joseph (25-15, 25-21).
The Ardens lost their final match of the round robin on Saturday in three sets to Regina Campbell (21-25, 25-9, 8-15).
They still placed first in their pool and then disposed of fourth seeded Regina LeBoldus (25-19, 25-15) in the quarter-final. They added a win over St. Joseph in the semi-final (25-4, 25-16).
