The Swift Current Comp. Senior Colts volleyball team captured gold this past weekend at their 16-team home tournament.
The Colts went 3-0 in their pool on Friday with wins over Birch Hills, Medicine Hat High, and Weyburn.
On Saturday in the playoffs, the Colts defeated Fox Valley and then Meadow Lake in the quarter finals. In the semi-finals, the Colts beat Saskatoon Christian in two sets (25-17, 25-18).
In the final, in front of a big home crowd, the Colts came through with some great defence and timely hits to earn home gold (25-22, 25-23).
The Colts will next be in action on October 13 in Prince Albert.
