Kalan Lind reached another milestone in his hockey career on Thursday when he was selected in the 2023 National Hockey League Draft.
The Shaunavon product was selected 46th overall by the host Nashville Predators at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lind had another productive season with the Red Deer Rebels in 2022-23 as he posted 16 goals and 28 assists in 43 regular season games and then added five points in 10 playoff outings.
The 6’0’’ forward doesn’t shy away from the physical side of the game with 93 penalty minutes in his rookie campaign, followed by 80 in his draft season.
His older brother, Kole, was drafted 33rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 2017. Kole Lind has appeared in 30 NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken.
