The Swift Current Southwest Terminal Broncos opened the South Sask Peewee AA Hockey League playoffs with a 3-0 win over the host Weyburn Wings Friday.
Daniel Ganert scored the game winning goal in the second period, Kane Klassen added an insurance marker early in the third period, and Jayden Jessiman scored into an empty net to seal the win. Kalan Lind and Dayne Feicht added assists. Rylan Hildebrand made 27 saves for the shutout.
Game two of the best-of-three series will be played in Swift Current on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Fairview East Arena.
