In recognition of the importance of Saskatchewan’s recreation, leisure and parks, the Government of Saskatchewan has once again proclaimed June as “Recreation & Parks Month” in Saskatchewan.
“Here in Swift Current, we are extremely fortunate to have some of the greatest park spaces, outdoor recreational facilities, and low-cost leisure programs for all ages,” explains Krista Caswell, Community Recreation Coordinator for the City of Swift Current. “There are amazing opportunities for fun, social, physical, economic, and environmental benefits right here in our own backyard.”
In coordination with the Government of Saskatchewan’s proclamation, the City of Swift Current has proclaimed the week of June 4 – 10 as “June is Recreation and Parks Month Week”.
