The Swift Current Comp. Ardens won bronze at 5A Girls HOOPLA in Prince Albert over the weekend.
The Ardens opened the tournament with a 64-38 win over Prince St. Mary on Thursday. Grade 10 guard Dani Meyer led the Ardens with 16 points, followed by 15 from Mia Riegel and 13 points from Makayla Fleischfresser.
The Ardens lost the semi-final 64-50 to Regina’s Harvest City Christian Academy on Friday. Riegel led the Ardens with 12 points, followed by 10 apiece from Rielle Klassen and Fleischfresser.
The Ardens rebounded on Saturday with a 63-43 victory over Saskatoon St. Joseph in the bronze medal game. Fleischfresser paced the Ardens with 16 points, followed by 15 from Riegel and 11 Grace Thierman.
