The Swift Current W.W. Smith Wildcats won both games over the host Weyburn Gold Wings in the Saskatchewan Female U13 AA Hockey League over the weekend.
The U13 AA Wildcats opened the weekend with a 4-1 win on Saturday.
Deyus Getzinger scored twice, Laynee Rondeau had a goal and an assist, and Piper Arntsen added two assists. Kapri Darby also scored, while Jodi Switzer, Macklin Connor, and Grace Lingenfelter added assists. Georgia Haubrich earned the win in goal.
The Wildcats followed up with a 6-2 win on Sunday. Darby scored twice and Rondeau added a goal and an assist. Getzinger, Blakely Wallis, and Ally Stusrud also scored. Kansas Girodat, Connor, and Ellie Weinbender all added assists and Haubrich earned another win in goal.
The Wildcats improved to 11-5-4 to sit second in the South Division.
The U13 AA Wildcats will host the Estevan Bearcats on Saturday at 7 p.m. at S3 East Arena.
