The Swift Current Full Line Ag Broncos opened the South Sask Female Midget AA Hockey League playoffs with a 4-2 win over the host Parkland Lions on Feb. 20.
The Broncos had finished fifth in the regular season with a 14-9-0 record, two points behind the Lions.
Sara Kendall led the Broncos with two goals, while Courtney Funk and Kamryn Johnson also scored. Kayla Keith, Jannae Carlson, Kalea Sauder, and Baylee Kirwan all added assists and Amaya Giraudier got the win goal.
Game two of the best-of-three series will take place Friday at 7 p.m. at Fairview East Arena.
