The Swift Current Comp. Colts senior boys volleyball team opened the season with a bronze medal at the 12-team St. Mary Invitational Tournament in Prince Albert.
The Colts won their pool on Friday with a 3-0 record after wins over Saskatoon Aden Bowman, Prince Albert Carlton, and St. Mary’s grade 11’s.
On Saturday, they won their quarterfinal match against Bellevue, but lost a close semi-final match against Lloydminster Comp 23-25, 23-25.
The Colts bounced back in the bronze medal match with a 25-22, 17-25, 15-9 win over Saskatoon Centennial.
The Colts are in tournament action again next weekend when they travel to Meadow Lake.
