A pair of Southwest competitors won their events at the Double B Ag Festival in Beausejour, MB on Sept. 12-13.
Maple Creek’s Zack Moorehead won Junior Steer Riding with 70 points for $346. Maple Creek’s Coy Cronkhite was right behind him in second with 69 points for $283.
Hazenmore’s Tess Switzer topped Junior Girls Barrel Racing in 14.23 seconds for $292.
Switzer also finished sixth in Ladies Breakaway Roping in 4.8 seconds for $126. Dana Gardiner (Lakeland, MB) and Lacey Jordison (Moose Jaw) tied for top spot in 4.8 seconds.
The 60th annual Bob Larson Memorial Indoor Rodeo will be held on Friday and Saturday in Val Marie.
The 63rd annual Canadian Cowboys Association Finals will be held on Oct. 22-25 in North Battleford.
