Kyle’s Chloe Wills tied for 40th at the 2026 Canadian Junior Girls Championship at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon, ON on August 11-14.
The Saskatchewan Landing Golf & Country Club golfer finished the tournament at 20-over across four rounds. She opened with a 77 to sit tied for 45th. Wills carded an 80 on day two to make the cut by one stroke. She fired another 77 on day three to move up one spot into a tie for 63rd. Wills closed out Nationals with a one-under 70 in her final round on Friday.
Maple, ON’s Shauna Liu won the tournament by three shots at 11-under (69-67-65-72).
Swift Current’s Matty Schmiess also golfed in the Canadian Junior Boys Championship at the Wascana Country Club in Regina on August 11-14.
Schmiess tied for 63rd out of 156 golfers at Junior Nationals at 11-over-par across four rounds. He opened with a 73 in his opening round and then had his best round with a 72 on day two. Schmiess made the cut and added rounds of 76 and 78 in rounds three and four.
Tiger Xie (Surrey, BC) won the tournament by six strokes at 16-under.
