Former Swift Current Broncos captain Clarke Caswell helped the Denver Pioneers advance to the NCAA national championship game in a 4-3 double overtime win over the Michigan Wolverines on Thursday.
Caswell scored the tying goal late in the third period and also had an assist in the second period at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Kent Anderson scored the overtime winner for the Pioneers 12:35 into the second extra frame.
Caswell, a third-round pick of the Seattle Kraken in 2024, has eight goals and 26 assists in 42 games in his first collegiate season.
The Pioneers will face the Wisconsin Badgers in the title game on Saturday. Denver will look to win a third national title in five seasons after previous wins in 2022 and 2024 under David Carle.
