Swift Current’s Ethan Robinson finished with a 2-6 record at the 2026 New Holland Canadian Under-20 Championships in Sudbury.
Robinson was supported by third Nathan Weiss, second Lewis MacDiarmid, lead Joshua Kirilenko, and coach Craig Robinson.
They won their opening game on Sunday morning 4-3 over British Columbia’s Harrison Hrynew. They stole one point in the final end to pull out the win after trailing 3-1 in the fifth end prior to scoring two in the sixth.
The Nutana Curling Club rink lost game two 6-5 to New Brunswick’s Austen Matheson that evening.
Monday, Saskatchewan lost 7-5 to Manitoba’s Evan Boutet. Tuesday, Robinson lost 12-2 to Alberta’s Jaxon Hiebert and 6-5 to Nova Scotia’s Zach Atherton.
Wednesday, they fell to 1-5 with a 7-1 loss to Northern Ontario’s Riley Winters.
They got back into the win column with a 10-2 win over Yukon’s Nolan Floyd. After scoring one in the opening end, they stole two in the second, one on the third, and four in the fourth end.
They lost their final game 8-4 to Ontario’s Tyler MacTavish on Thursday.
