The Swift Current Broncos played the role of spoilers in their final game of the Western Hockey League season.
The Broncos defeated the host Moose Jaw Warriors 4-1 on Saturday to eliminate the Warriors from the Eastern Conference playoff race.
The Broncos jumped ahead with a Parker Rondeau shorthanded goal and then added to the lead with a Trae Johnson goal in the first period.
The Broncos added to the lead in the second period with a Brendan Rudolph goal before Aiden Ziprick replied on the power play.
Overage forward Anthony Wilson closed the scoring with an empty net goal in his final WHL game.
Archer Cooke made 21 saves to get the win. Chase Wutzke made 16 saves for the Warriors.
The Broncos placed 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 15-44-4-5 record. The Warriors finished ninth with a 25-36-5-2 record.
