Wildcats complete playoff sweep

The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats closed out a two-game sweep of the Notre Dame Hounds with a 8-1 win on Tuesday. 

After winning game one 8-0 on Saturday, the Wildcats were led by one goal and three assists from Ella Schenher and one goal and two assist from Jalaa Moore Jagow in Wilcox. Harper Kampen and Stevie Christiaens each added one goal and one assist. 

Laynee Rondeau scored twice, while Piper Arntsen and Hayden Hilbig also scored. Raela Packet picked up two assists, while Emily McCleary, Iralyn Calkins, Charlize Hillmer, and Rowyn Baptist all added singles. Emilee Klapak made 19 saves on 20 shots.

Hunter Moon scored the lone goal for the Hounds, while Annie Hodges made 38 saves on 46 shots.

The Wildcats will now face either the Regina Rebels or the Saskatoon Stars in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League semi-final series.
