Team South West won gold in Male Futsal at the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games in Meadow Lake on Saturday.
They defeated Saskatoon 7-2 in the championship final, led by three goals from Finn Ostrander. Swift Current’s Nicholas Munzara and Cole Ferguson also scored in the win.
Team South West had won the semi-final 12-0 on Friday. Swift Current’s Camden Newton scored twice, while Ostrander and Ethan Butterworth also scored.
They had opened the event with an 11-4 win over Rivers West on Friday. Ostrander, Butterworth, Newton, Munzara, and Cole Ferguson all scored in the victory. They added an 8-2 win over Regina to clinch top spot in Group A. Butterworth led the attack with three goals, while Newton and Munzara also scored.
