The Swift Current Broncos ended a 21-game road losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday.
Archer Cooke made 28 saves to lead the Broncos to their first road win since Oct. 12, 2025.
The Broncos scored the only goal of the opening stanza when Hudson Darby joined the rush and fired his 13th goal of the season home.
After a scoreless second period, Carter Moen gave the Broncos a 2-0 lead with a shorthanded goal on a long two-on-one rush for his fourth goal of the season. The Hitmen cut into the lead with an Ethan Moore on the power play, but Trae Johnson sealed the win with an empty net goal in the final minute.
Aidan Hesse took the loss with 16 saves.
The Broncos improved to 13-35-3-0 as they ended a four-game losing streak. Calgary fell to 29-14-6-1 as their four-game winning streak came to an end.
The Broncos will visit the Saskatoon Blades on Friday and host the Brandon Wheat Kings on Saturday.
