SHSAA SPORTSMANSHIP BANNER
Congratulations to the Cabri Senior Boys volleyball team. They were awarded a SHSAA sportsmanship banner in a special ceremony.
Team members include: Kramer Anderson, Tyson Anderson, Connor Lacelle, Bailey McDonnell, Owen Paquin, Tucker Paul, Birk Petersen, Jack Petersen, Luke Weedon, Ben Wicks, Paxton Yoner and head coach Kim Lacelle. This award is voted on by the commissioners, officials, SHSAA board members and volunteers at the 2A provincial championship held in Rouleau. What a testament to the leadership of coach Kim Lacelle and Cabri School.

GIRLS: Shaunavon (3-1), SC Red (3-1), Herbert (2-2), SC Blue (0-4).
League action on Tuesday, February 10 has Herbert at Vanguard, Frontier boys at Maple Creek, Gull Lake boys at Shaunavon (along with SC Blue Ardens), and the SC Red Ardens will travel to play Herbert girls.
SWAC JUNIOR BASKETBALL
The junior girls district teams played off on Friday, February 6 in Maple Creek. Teams from Shaunavon, Maple Creek and Leader vied for the SWAC title in a round robin format
Congrats to Shaunavon Silhouettes for claiming the SWAC district title. They were undefeated with victories over Maple Creek and Leader.
Game one: Maple Creek over Leader (42-36). Top scorers Maple Creek: Elaina U 19 pts, Harper S 9 pts. Top scorers Leader: Josie Young 10 pts, Abby Bredeson 9 pts.
Game two: Shaunavon 64-23 over Leader. Top scorers from Shaunavon: Cadence Christensen 22 pts, Willow Salafrania 8 pts, Katelyn Stevenson 8 pts, Phoenix Lingenfelter 8 pts. Top scorers for Leader: Quinn Asmus 6 pts, Everlee Asmus 6 pts.
Game 3: Shaunavon wins 71-26 over Maple Creek. Top scorers from Shaunavon: Cadence Christensen 21 pts, Katelyn Stevenson 9 pts. Top scorers for Maple Creek: Elaina U. 11 pts, Rosalyn M. 7 pts.
The Junior Boys playdowns began Feb. 5 and will finish with the championship on March 6.
First round results: Shaunavon over Frontier, Fairview over Vanguard, Ecole Centennial over Herbert, Maple Creek over Leader.
Round 2 on Thursday, Feb 12 (A side/B side semifinals)
A side: Fairview hosts Shaunavon, Ecole Centennial hosts Maple Creek.
B side: Frontier hosts Vanguard, Leader hosts Herbert.
MOOSE JAW SENIOR BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The Arden/Colts next league game is Feb. 10 when they host Lumsden. The Ardens sit atop the girls league standings with a 5-0 record. The Colts are in second place in the boys league with a 5-1 record.
SENIOR CURLING
The senior distinct curling playoff for mixed was held on Feb. 5 in Cadillac. Thanks to Trish Carleton for being the commissioner and to Cadillac Rink and volunteers for stepping up to be host facility for the event. The Cadillac Curling Rink is a little gem in the south west.
