The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats lost the special teams battle to the visiting Regina Rebels on Wednesday.
The Rebels scored twice on the power play, while the Wildcats failed to capitalize on four man-advantages in a 5-2 loss in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League.
Charlize Hillmer and Raela Packet scored in a losing cause. Olivia Ferguson and Hillmer added assists. Emilee Klapak took the loss with 18 saves.
Morgan Robertson made 31 saves for Regina.
The Wildcats (13-6-0-1) lead the Rebels (10-7-3-1) by three points for second spot with one game in hand.
The Wildcats will visit the Saskatoon Stars and the first-place Battlefords Sharks this weekend.
