The Swift Current Broncos made a pair of trades on Monday as they continue to reshape their roster.
The Broncos traded 2007-born defenseman Brennan Hocher and 2010-born forward John Gramer to the Seattle Thunderbirds. In return, the Broncos received 2006-born defenseman Hyde Davidson, 2010-born forward Cruise Armstrong, and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2028.
Hocher had four assists in 36 games during his first season in the Western Hockey League.
Davidson, a 6’2’’ Edmonton product, has four points in 24 games this season, and is a veteran of 168 WHL games. Armstrong is a product of Atlanta, GA and has 18 goals and 24 assists in 47 games with the Mount St. Charles Academy 15U AAA team.
The Broncos added another defenseman when they sent a second-round pick in 2026 to the Vancouver Giants for 2007-born Colton Alain. The 6’5’’ Victoria, BC product has five points in 38 games this season and has skated in 163 WHL games over four seasons.
The Broncos will host the Edmonton Oil Kings on Wednesday.
