The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats swept a weekend road trip in Weyburn to conclude their 2025 Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League schedule.
Saturday, the Wildcats scored six unanswered goals to win 7-1 over the Gold Wings. Laynee Rondeau led the Wildcats with two goals and one assist, followed by one goal and two assists from Emily McCleary and Jalaa Moore Jagow.
Reese Kampen and Raela Packet both added a goal and an assist, while Stevie Christiaens finished with two assists. Iralyn Calkins also scored and Kapri Darby added one assist. Ashley Vezeau made 19 saves to improve to 2-4-0-0 on the season.
Tila Boyd made 29 saves for the Goldwings and Taelah Schnurr scored the only goal.
Sunday, goals weren’t as easy to come by, but the Wildcats won 3-1 despite a 45-save from Boyd. Emilee Klapak made 35 saves for the Wildcats to improve to 9-2-0-0.
Rondeau, Olivia Ferguson, and McCleary scored for the Wildcats. Moore Jagow, Rublee, Sienna Watson, and Charlize Hillmer added assists.
The Wildcats moved into second with an 11-5-0-1 record, while Weyburn fell to 5-13-0-2.
Rondeau finished the year tied for the league lead with 15 assists and second with 26 points during her rookie campaign. Klapak is third with a 1.80 goals against average and a .930 save percentage.
The Wildcats will return to league action on Jan. 10-11 when they visit the Saskatoon Stars.
