Junior Colts place second at home

The Swift Current Comp. Junior Red Colts placed second at their home tournament with a 2-1 record over the weekend. 

They lost their opening game 100-84 to the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones on Friday. Connor Letkeman led the Colts with 21 points, followed by 16 from Gradyn Jackson. 

The Colts rebounded with a 79-36 win over the Weyburn Eagles on Saturday. They led 16-8 after one quarter and stretched the lead to 35-18 at halftime before cruising to the win. 

Reuben Kimball led the Colts with 14 points, followed by 13 from Enzo dela Cruz. 

The Junior Colts closed out the weekend with a 94-37 win over the Moose Jaw AE Peacock Toilers. They built up a 31-6 lead in the first quarter to put the game out of reach. Letkeman led the scoring barrage with 25 points, followed by 15 from Santiago Meija Castillo.

The SCCHS Junior Red Colts will return to action on Jan. 9-10 in Prince Albert.
