The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires won both games over the visiting Tisdale Trojans in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League over the weekend.
Saturday, the Legionnaires got goals from five different players in a 5-4 win over the visiting Trojans.
Mason Fauser led the home team with a goal and two assists, while Hunter Wilm registered three assists. Trae Peterson followed with one goal and one assist. Jake Hargrave, Kasey Gleim, and Ryder Wilm also scored. Matt Henkelman added an assist. Josh Benjamin earned the win with 20 saves.
Carter Hudyma led the Trojans with two goals and one assist. Wyatt Fleischhacker made 37 saves in a losing cause.
The Legionnaires completed the weekend sweep with a 4-2 win on Sunday.
Cade Mitchell made 34 saves in the win. Gleim led the attack with one goal and three assists. Fauser added a goal and two assists. Hargrave added one goal and one assist, while Wilm chipped in two assists. Peterson had the other goal as he scored in a fourth straight game.
Jacob Tait scored both goals for the Trojans, while Jackson Dunn took the loss with 32 saves on 36 shots.
The Legionnaires sit third in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League with a 13-3-2-0 record. Tisdale fell to 6-9-1-0.
The Legionnaires will visit the Saskatoon Blazers on Thursday. They will also visit the Battleford Stars on Saturday and Sunday.
