The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires defeated the host Saskatoon Blazers 2-1 on Thursday.
Lucas Stevenson got the Blazers on the board 5:15 into the first period with a power play goal. Kyler Bilokreli replied later in the first period with a power play goal to tie the game. Hunter Wilm scored on the power play in the third period to close the scoring.
Trae Peterson assisted on both goals. Hudson Postnikoff and Kasey Gleim also added assists.
Cade Mitchell earned the win with 23 saves on 24 shots. Madex Kabrud took the loss with 21 saves.
The Legionnaires improved to 8-2-1-0 in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League. The Blazers fell to 4-4-1-0.
The Legionnaires will host the Yorkton Maulers on Saturday at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday at 1:45 p.m.
