The Southwest Impact split a weekend home stand to open the Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League regular season.
The Impact opened the season with a 4-1 win in Swift Current on Saturday. Kaleigha Irwin earned the win with 23 saves on 24 shots.
Chase Collier, Dani Larson, Morgan Bailey, and Kaleigh McCann all scored. Jenna Lacher and Jordyn Cooper added assists.
Danika Lorencz scored the only goal for the Lynx, who got 18 saves from Bailey Lindsay.
The Impact lost the rematch 4-3 on Sunday in Gull Lake. Brogan Carlson, Larson, and Bailey scored in the loss. Cooper assisted on two goals, while Collier and Samantha Rempel added single assists.
Emma Giesbrecht made 39 saves in a losing cause. Lindsay made 21 saves in the win for the Lynx.
Tasia Serelo, Payton Copeland, Lorencz, and Emma Mann scored for the Lynx.
The Impact will visit the Lynx on Saturday and the Regina Wild on Sunday.
