Swift Current’s Griffin Striker will play for a medal at Canada Soccer’s 2025 National Championship U-17 Cup.
Striker and Saskatoon Alliance finished second in Group A with one win and one loss at the six-day event in Kamloops. They opened the tournament with a 1-0 loss to Nova Scotia’s Suburban FC on Wednesday. They rebounded on Friday with a 1-0 win over Moncton Codiac when Striker scored the only goal.
They defeated Winnipeg South End United 2-1 in the quarter-final on Saturday.
Saskatoon Alliance will face Ontario’s Cherry Beach SC in the semi-final on Sunday.
